Vaping has become a bit of a buzz word over the past couple of years. Introduced as a quit smoking aid, these electronic devices are now being used by a record number of people. It’s become more of a lifestyle than a habit, with many vapers even showing off their skills in national competitions.

A study carried out from 2012 to 2015, revealed that an enhanced social image was the number one reason vapers took up the habit. There’s no getting away from the fact that vaping is seen as a cool, modern thing to do. It’s a lifestyle, especially amongst the younger generation.

Compared to smoking, the cost of using an e-cigarette is drastically cheaper. When you consider the cost of living is at an all time high and tobacco rises in cost year upon year, it’s not hard to see why people are choosing to vape instead.

Of course, there’s also the health benefits too. While further research is still required, it is known that vaping is much safer than smoking cigarettes.

If you’re a smoker, switching to vaping can deliver plenty of great benefits. One of the main reasons it has proved to be one of the most successful quitting aids, is because it mimics smoking. You’re still carrying out the same motion as you would with smoking and the liquids do contain a small level of nicotine. So, it’s much easier to actually give up smoking entirely, than it is if you’re using other aids such as nicotine patches.

Overall, vaping has become a very popular activity in recent years. It does have a trendy image, especially amongst the younger generation. However, we can’t forget the health benefits it also delivers when you compare it to smoking.
